DESCRIPTION:Sister Zaheerah Al Baiyina has for more than 4 decades been passionately engaged in helping her family\, the community and the needy. \nFor years Sister Zaheerah worked with the hospitality House at The Medical College of Virginia-VCU\, hosting and bring comfort to hundreds of families away from home while their sick family members received medical care at MCV. So many families where touched by her compassionate care during what for many were very hopeless and stressful times. Zaheerah was there for them to offer encouragement with her gentle smile and words. \nNow\, it’s Sister Zaheerah who is in need of our support. She has recently been diagnosed with breast Cancer. She has traveled from Richmond\, Va. to the Cancer Center for pre-evaluation. She said that she was so impressed by the caring and nurturing environment.
